The role:
Recruitment is a sales role, however instead of selling a physical product, your ‘products’ are your candidates! This means each day will truly be different. Selling a product can feel repetitive, but when each ‘product’ is a new person to learn about and find a job for, your role becomes a lot more exciting!
Responsibilities include:
Cold calling to win new business
Negotiating terms with clients
Taking briefs on your clients’ ideal candidate
Sourcing candidates through headhunting and networking
Posting job advertisements to further attract candidates
Building relationships with candidates and clients
Persuading the client to interview the candidate
Aligning candidate and client diaries to organise interviews
Receiving and delivering feedback
Negotiating salaries for placement
Making placements!
